How does the investor room-rate discount work?

When you post a quotation you can ask for a discount on the room's published nightly rate, from 0% to 50%. Example: 20% off a PHP 2,280 room gives you a rate of PHP 1,824, so a PHP 40,000 advance covers about 21 room nights instead of 17. Hotels see your discount in their quotation feed. A higher discount covers more nights but fewer hotels may agree. Either side can change the discount in a counter-offer in the Deal Room, and the contract keeps the discount both sides accepted. The discount is a request, not a promise, until both sides accept.
